Commission of a much loved pet

I really loved illustrating this lovely Labrador on his favourite walk in the South Downs. It was a pleasure getting to know him and learning his character. Shown is the initial sketch and the final colour print.

A New Year - with lots of New Creations

It's my first week back at work after the New Year celebrations and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I've worked with in 2016. I've worked on some amazing projects from house portraits, family portraits, limited edition prints, pattern designs to support branding, commissioned paintings to make a companies website truly unique, pet portraits, art exhibitions and even painting umbrellas for a charity auction. For me painting and illustrating isn't just a job it's what I need to do everyday no matter how tough or how brilliant it's been. I feel very fortunate that this is my job and I'm really excited about 2017 and what it holds.

I really loved illustrating this for this lovely local family. A pen illustration finished with gouache and pencil and printed as a giclee print on archival paper for a quality finish. Great to see it framed and in it's new home.
